STEP BY STEP
From Hand to Heart
1
Design the Motif
Every pattern begins as a hand-drawn design, inspired by Rajasthani heritage- paisleys, lotuses, jaals, and geometric patterns that tell stories of the region
2
Carve the Block
Master carvers chisel the design into teak wood blocks with extraordinary precision. A single intricate block can take days to complete. These blocks last for generations.
3
Prepare the Dyes
Our 25 pastel colours come entirely from plants - turmeric for golden yellows, indigo for blues, pomegranate for reds, and more. Each batch is mixed by hand to achieve the perfect shade.
4
The Jaal Base
First, the Jaal - a delicate net-like base pattern-is printed across the fabric. This creates the foundation. The artisan dips the block in dye and stamps with practiced rhythm
5
Motifs Above
Over the Jaal base, decorative motifs are layered-flowers, paisleys, stars. Each stamp is placed by eye, creating beautiful imperfections that make every piece unique
6
Wash & Cure
The fabric is washed in natural water to set the dyes and remove excess colour. It's then sun-dried and cured a process that can take several days but ensures the colours last.
CUSTOM MADE
Each design is one of a kind
The Jaal base creates a rhythmic foundation, and the motifs layered above make each piece unique. No machine can replicate the subtle variations of a human hand
- and we wouldn't want it to.
Even our packaging is handmade - cotton and jute paper, crafted with the same care as the garments inside.
This is not fast fashion - This is slow, intentional, artisan-crafted luxury for the ones you love most.
